I am a certified jeans “whore”! Really, denim overall, I absolutely love! Although, it can be sort of tough for me to find the perfect pair of jeans that fit well due to my petite stature. When I come across a pair I love, that fit like I need them to, I’m buying. As I mentioned in one of my previous posts, TOPSHOP jeans fit me the absolute best, but I came across these cute “mom” jeans in H&M about a month ago. Not only did they fit perfectly, they were also on SALE! And just like the next person, I live for sale items.
Right along with the price, not only did I fall in love with the fit of these H&M jeans, but the fact that they can be worn and styled in so many ways! For a chic look, pair them with a sheer body suit and your favorite lace bra, velvet pumps, a leather moto jacket and your favorite statement accessories. This day, I chose to keep my look casual and comfy. Mom jeans are known for their high waist look, so to show that off I decided to pair mine with a cropped turtle neck.
Moving right along to this long puffer coat! Would you all believe me if I told you I’ve had this coat since I was in middle school? Well I have, and I cannot believe this look is trending again! Back in the day I will admit I hated this coat, and I hated the fact that my mom purchased it for me for a ski trip. I know hate is such a strong word, but the feelings were real lol! You would think I would have given the coat away a long time ago being that I disliked it so much. For some reason, I decided to hold on to it, or maybe my mom just wouldn’t allow me to give it away because I am more than sure she paid good money for it! The brand is Guess, and back in the day Guess was poppin and definitely a little pricey.
Judging by these pictures, I am certainly glad my mom made me keep the coat! Not because it is trending again, but the fact that it’s perfect for the winter, super warm and I now know how to style it lol. All of this to say, sometimes the items you once hated can turn into something you love and treasure. Don’t be so quick to give your clothes away, especially statement pieces that can be mixed and matched with so many things. If you’re reading this you’re probably thinking, how is this chick still fitting in her clothes from middle school though?! To be honest, as I am writing this post those are my exact thoughts, so I understand the judgement lol. I had to grow into the coat my mom purchased it extra large at the time, which may have been one of the reasons I hated it so much. But now, I can say Thanks Mom, you the realest for this purchase! Do you all have any items that you once hated, but now love? If so, comment and tell me why you decided to hold on to whatever it is and why you love it now!
