After a week or so of non-stop rain, we finally had a sunny day in Atlanta, and I had to take full advantage of it. I’ve been slowly, but surely adding different items to my closet for the F/W seasons, and this over-sized denim jacket was a must have for me! I purchased this jacket from Goodwill for $5.95. NEVER SLEEP ON THRIFTING! But I will admit, this was my first time thrifting again in over a year. I had to stop for a minute because honestly thrifting and shopping at Goodwill can be quite addictive, especially when you’re good at it. Goodwill and various thrift stores seemed to be getting all of my money at one point in time. I was buying all my sweaters, jackets, jewelry, belts, etc. from various thrift stores. Although the items weren’t expensive, trust me it adds up… so that basically sums up why I had to take a break from it. But my thrifting relationship was rekindled once I saw this jacket, and another bomber jacket that I purchased as well. I feel like the picture above looks like a 1980s acid washed denim advertisement lol, but it’s cool!
I wanted to switch things up a little with my hair, but what’s new? I always want to do something different with my hair, so I decided to get goddess cornrow braids. I’ve had my hair like this once before and I love it. I am all for low maintenance, protective styles, that won’t damage my natural hair. If you live in the Atlanta area please do not hesitate to inquire about who braided my hair. She is very professional and timely. I would refer her to anyone who desires any type of braided style.

My first personal style feature belongs to one of my good friends, Elizabeth. When it comes to Fashion I gain so much of my own inspiration from others, particularly people whom I interact with on a daily basis. I have always admired Liz’s personal style because she always finds a way to incorporate her culture into her look, yet she makes the look modern and trendy. Honestly, in my opinion that is what defines TRUE style.
From the beginning of time when our “personal style” was horrible, lol Liz and I shared a great love for Fashion and since it is Thursday, I thought I should add in a #TBT (insert struggle face, side eye etc.) it has NOT always been this way and I am in no way ashamed to admit it, BUT through years of trial and error, I think we may have finally gotten this style thing right…at least for now.
